Not a problem. Not many folks know the downsides of a rate cut to the average person. Everything from savings to rates on CDs decrease with rate cuts which end up hurting those needing low risk interest income to support their day to day activities. Good luck with your blog!

Yep, rates are going up still in Taiwan... which should make the ntd more attractive than the US. the ntd isn't a fully traded currency, but the unofficial peg has really hurt other exchange rates as the US$ fell in value.

The only benefit from the US$ dropping is that it becomes somewhat easier for us to pay our bills. I've read from some analysts that it's only temporary. Others think we're going into a depression as a result of the huge rate cut last week. This is where I wish I had a better knowledge base when it comes to economics. Eco 2011 doesn't cut it when it comes to in-depth analysis.

Hey not a problem. A lot of folks don't really realize how the workings of the market affect their everyday lives. Some folks such as my uncle, depend on CD and savings rates for steady income since Social Security doesn't do much. Any time a rate cut comes around, he has to save that much more in order to maintain his income.
